About

Sea Wolf is a fixed-screen shooting game in which the player commands an unseen submarine and attempts to sink as many enemy vessels as possible before time expires. Ships of different types travel horizontally across the surface at varying speeds and distances, with faster and more difficult targets awarding higher scores. In the arcade version, the player looks through a swivelling periscope and moves it horizontally to aim a targeting crosshair. Pressing a button on the periscope launches a torpedo vertically toward the surface. Only a limited salvo is available at one time, requiring the player to wait briefly for the torpedoes to reload. Floating mines can intercept shots without awarding points, while fast-moving PT boats are the most valuable and difficult targets. The Commodore 64 and VIC-20 versions adapt the game for color displays and paddle controllers. They support one or two players, provide four torpedoes that reload after firing, and allow the playing time to be set from one to nine minutes.
